• Design, Verification, Verilog Synthesis, and Timing Analysis of a single-chip media graphics processor for JPEG, MPEG, and DVI applications.
• Developed and implemented verification strategy and framework for multiple embedded MIPS R3000 family processors, including MIPS assembly language testing modules and testing code coverage analysis.
• Use and support of Synopsys Verilog Compiled Simulator (VCS), Synopsys Verilog Design Compiler, Synopsys Module Compiler, and Synopsys Primetime Timing Verifier.

Dynamic Pictures Inc.
(Acquired by 3Dlabs in 1998)

• Design, Verilog Synthesis, Layout, and Timing Analysis of a single-chip 3D graphics processor (Oxygen Chipset); used in 1, 2, and 4 processor configurations.
• Use and support of Cadence Verilog XL Simulator, DAI Signalscan, Synopsys Verilog Design Compiler, Synopsys timing verifier, Compass layout and routing tools, Avanti extraction and DRC tools, and IBM foundry and verification tools.
• Timing and Area optimization of 3D DataPath engines using Datapath Compiler tools.

Adobe Systems Inc.

• VHDL Synthesis, Simulation, Layout, and Testing of a full-color Postscript Level-II RIP (Raster Image Processor) hardware coprocessing unit.
• Conversion from Postscript "C" source to VHDL
• Use and support of Synopsys VHDL Design Compiler, Synopsys VSS simulator.
• Layout and physical verification of 1.5 million transistor design using the VLSI/Compass tools. Tapeout and Foundry release to TSMC.

Rohm LSI Systems, Inc.

• Specification and design of Multimedia hardware systems.
• Developed interactive, hands-on training courses in Multimedia hardware and software systems.
• Review of current state-of-the-art in Multimedia Personal Computers (MPC I/II).

• Development of Testing Suites for VERILOG and VHDL Interface Products.
• Compatibility testing with Cadence Verilog-XL simulator products, Synopsys Synthesis/Simulation Products, and VANTAGE VHDL Simulator Products.
• Specification of X-Windows/MOTIF Graphical User Interfaces.
• Evaluation and Testing of Three-Layer Metal and Two-Layer metal Floorplaning
  and Routing tools for Standard-Cell and Gate-Array Technologies.
• Evaluation and Testing of Standard-Cell and Gate-Array Libraries for transparent
  fabrication with multiple silicon vendors.

  with 0.8 micron technology development and support.

(Merged with SGI in 1996)

• ASIC simulation, and layout of an eleven (11) chip set that implements
  the CRAY XMP/YMP vector processor architecture.
• Eleven (11) designs completed in 1.0 micron, two layer metal CMOS technology.
• Dual sourcing of all chips with both LSI Logic and VLSI Technology, Inc.

Centerpointe Inc.

• ASIC simulation, layout and testing of Single Chip PC/AT controller with cache.
  Used with the Intel 80386SX microprocessor, operating at speeds up to 33MHZ.

Hewlett-Packard, Data Systems Operation

• Design consulting and ECAD tool support of the Data Systems Group.
• ASIC simulation, layout and testing of an two chip set that implements
  the HP-1000 computer architecture.

Westcom Inc.

• Consulting work on the design of a two-way Video Telephone system.
• Developing proprietary data compression algorithms for use on standard telephone lines (POTS).

Esselte-Letraset Corp.

• Consulting work on an image processing system used to process images for
  creating "rub-on" stencil transfers.
• Conversion from American NTSC to European PAL video standard, field installation,
  system testing, and training in London, England.

Cybervision Inc.

• Consulting work on an image processing system used for the Graphic Arts Market.
• Development and testing of UNIX/VME MC680XX based image processing hardware subsystems.
