EDA/CAD Tool Vendors

We've been working on a new database of EDA & CAD tool vendors, indexed by tool type (ie. synthesis/layout/extraction/etc.) with the individual tool names and most importantly, file format & database compatibility. Utilizing XML/RDF we can do some pretty useful things once the database is fully up and running. (More on this later...)

If you'd like to have your own bookmarks/favorites file of commercial EDA/CAD tools, feel free to download this handy bookmark file. It is formatted so that you can "import" it into your own bookmarks/favorites file if you wish.

For Internet Explorer

1. Use: Favorites -> Organize Favorites -> Create Folder (for example: edatools)
2. Use: File -> Import -> Import Favorites
3. Use: Import from a File or Address
4. Enter: http://www.moxon.com/2001/11/1/resources/edatools/bookmark.htm as the address
5. Select: The folder you wish to import into (ie. edatools)
6. Select: Finish

You now have them in your favorites folders to work with.

For Netscape/Mozilla

1. Right click on the bookmark
2. Select "Save Link As" and save to a temporary file (i.e. /tmp/bookmark.htm )
3. Use: Commmunicater -> Bookmarks -> Edit Bookmarks
4. Use: File -> New Folder (for example: edatools)
5. Use: File -> Import
6. Select: The file that you saved (i.e. /tmp/bookmark.htm )
7. Bingo!

You now have them in your bookmarks file to work with.
